Tempering Valves
Did you know that when you install or replace a hot water heater a tempering valve MUST fitted if not already by law which must be installed by a licensed Plumber.
In NSW the regulation states 50 degrees maximum for all bathrooms.
Tempering valves reduce the temperature coming out of your hot water heater to 50 degrees by mixing hot & cold water to reduce the risk of scalding!
Safe Water temperature – At 50 degrees, it takes 5 minutes for hot water to cause third degree burns.
